Beef

Grass fed, Mix-Pasture and grain, or grain fed.

Our beef is farm to table. Our calves are born on the farm. Raised on pasture with their mothers. They are weaned and put out to pasture. They are sorted the following spring based on orders. They are sorted to Pasture raised, Mixed-Pasture with some grains, and grain fed.

NO Hormones, No Antibiotics, No GMO products fed,

We have an open-door policy. Please feel free to stop by and tour the farm.

Our Cow-Calf program starts with heifer’s purchased for showing. We typically add 1-2 show heifer’s yearly. They produce our future calves for national, state, local 4-H, and FFA shows.

Calves not making the show cut are the beef we raise for eating. Our focus is direct consumer marketing. This keeps the cost of meat down for the consumer and sustainable for us.

Our cattle are currently processed at the following facilities. Due to the fact that they do not sell meat. This ensures you get all your meat. If you wish to use another it is at your own risk.

Johnson’s Processing Chadwick, IL

Galloways Meat Processing Como, IL

Farm fresh free-range eggs

We have Grade A and Grade AA eggs. Sizes large to jumbo.

Our birds are Heritage breeds not hatchery production engineered. Please feel free to ask us about the difference.

Our birds feast on a complete natural diet while free ranging on bugs, grain grasses, Marigolds, alfalfa, clover, annual rye, kale, rape, turnips, mustard, and buckwheat. We also offer in the hen house a home made feed that consists of legumes, wheat, oats, barley, hickory king corn, Marigolds, millet, sorghum, and sunflowers, field peas, flax seed, oregano, cayenne, Grubbly’s meal worms.

Our birds are pasture raised with a house to roost in. They get plenty of fresh air and sunshine year-round. The outdoor access gives our birds the lifestyle they deserve. They are on rotated pastures from spring thru early winter. Then a small enclosed pasture for winter.

Our eggs are naturally lower in cholesterol due to the Marigolds added to their feed, foraging area, and their natural diet. They also have a richer golden colored yolk.

Raw Honey

We only sell real raw honey. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and unadulterated. This is the real stuff straight from the hive to the jar with nothing added in between. This means the naturally occurring pollen is still present from the bees. The live enzymes and yeasts are present. We NEVER add anything to our honey. Every jar we prepare is a gift from the bees to you. Every single jar helps sustain family-owned bee hives. Try some real raw honey today!

Beeswax

Limited amounts of beeswax is held back to sell. The majority of beeswax is given back to the bees to make new comb.

Comb Honey

This is by order only. We try to give the beeswax back to the bees to make new comb.
